How to make a background transparent in one upload

To make background transparent, the tool has to cut the subject out and save the result with an alpha channel, the part of a PNG that stores how see-through each pixel is. That is different from a white fill or the grey and white checkerboard some editors show.

Upload a picture and the model estimates the subject, removes everything around it and exports a PNG at the original dimensions. Choose Transparent to make background transparent, and check the cutout before you place it on a slide, sticker sheet or design file.

The work happens in your browser. Your picture is processed in your browser and never uploaded to our servers. You can add more pictures to the same session and download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Where a transparent picture helps

  • Slides and documents

Make background transparent once and the cutout sits on any slide color or theme, with no white box to match.

  • Stickers and print designs

Merch and sticker files usually start from a subject with nothing around it. Download the PNG and place it in your layout.

  • Thumbnails and posts

Layer a person or product over a gradient, a photo or text. The edges blend with whatever sits behind.

  • Product listings

Export Transparent, or pick White, Black or a custom color when a marketplace wants a solid background.

  • Profile pictures

Cut yourself out of a messy room, then set a color behind you or blur the original background instead.

  • Logos on photos

A logo saved on a white square looks pasted on. Remove the square first and it sits cleanly on anything.

Transparent PNG maker: limits and privacy

Your picture stays on your device

Your picture is processed in your browser and never uploaded to our servers. The model and the engine files download to your browser; no picture data goes with them.

Free, with no sign-up

No account, no watermark and no credit card. The tool runs on your own device, so there is no daily image count.

Speed on a recent laptop

Each picture usually takes a second or two on a recent laptop, a fraction of a second with WebGPU.

It is AI, so check the edges

Busy scenes, several subjects or low contrast can keep or cut the wrong parts, and there is no brush to fix them. Compare with the original before you use the file.
